William “Bill” Loyd Reece
Age 81, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to be with the Lord, loved ones, and friends.
Bill was a proud native of Gatlinburg and a descendant of Martha Jane Husky Ogle, the first settler of the community. He worked as a skilled carpenter and had a lifelong love for tinkering and fixing lawn mowers. Bill also enjoyed trading for a good pocketknife. He was known for his generous spirit and wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day.
For nearly a year, Bill lived at Dominion Senior Living in Sevierville, where he entertained staff and residents with his stories and humor. The staff adored and spoiled him and had many loving stories to share.
He was the youngest son of Nancy Ruth Ogle Reece, who lived to be 102 years old. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Reece, and his brother, Robert “Bob” Reece.
Bill is survived by his daughter Tiffany Nevada Reece Brenner (Daryle); grandchildren Reece, Lauryn, Abbey, and Dylon; his siblings Norma Reece Manning Mills and Eddie Reece (Claudette); and many friends and extended family who will cherish his memory.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Bill’s cremains will be laid to rest at the Ogle Family Cemetery on Ogle Road in Gatlinburg on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 6:00 PM. A Remembrance of Life for Bill will be held during the Ogle Family Reunion in 2026.
