Terry Lynn Vaught (Scharff), 63 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026 with her mother and family by her side. Terry was a strong woman, daughter and mother, with a beautiful and outspoken soul.
Terry was born July 2, 1962 in Knoxville, TN to June (Donnahoo) and Louie Scharff. She grew up in South Knoxville and graduated from South Young High in 1980. She then went on to graduate from Tennessee School of Beauty, becoming a cosmetologist. She worked as a cosmetologist for over 25 years.
She loved the outdoors, any type of body of water whether on a boat at the lake or a balcony overlooking the ocean, and loved her mother, children, and grandchildren dearly.
Terry was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Scharff; sister Sherry Ames Scharff; and nephew Eric Scharff.
She was survived by her mother June Scharff; brother Gerald (Jerry) Scharff; Children: Amber (Tim) Daniels, Christopher Jones II; Grandchildren: Korbin Presnell, Baylyn Daniels, MJ Daniels, Ava Jones. Nephew Jerry (Rebecca) Cole, Michael Shaun Gattis, and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Terry will be remembered for her wit, fiery spirit, and strong will. She was a fighter and an amazing mother and daughter.
Celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
