Patricia was born in Hartford, Connecticut but was raised in the Orlando, Florida area. As a student in high school she was very active in 4-H which she continued as a leader in her adulthood.
After two years of college at Orlando Junior College, she went to work at Martin Marietta working on the Pershing missile as a fabricator. It was there she met her Husband Linsey Dettmer. They were married in August 1961. In March 1970 she became a pastor’s wife and helped in his ministry in Oklahoma, Texas, California, Germany, Louisiana and finally here in Sevierville. While In California she became a RDA and a myo-functional therapist. There she also attended College of the Sequoyah’s to study Anatomy and German.
She became interested in quilting and joined the local Smoky Mountain Quilters Piecemaker’s Club. She also made quilts for Veterans through Quilts of Valor and people in crisis through Lutheran World Relief.
She leaves behind to rejoice in having shared her life, her Husband of 64 years, Linsey Dettmer, two daughters, Anna Liese Dettmer and Mrs. Paul (Theresa) Angelino, their two sons Joseph (Aspen) and Patrick and great granddaughter Summit Angelino. Her sister, Mrs. John (Nancy) Spolski, nephew John (Bridget) and Andy (Sarah) and nephew Eric (Samantha) Dettmer and many friends, church members and quilt members.
She was an active practicing Christian all her life having become a Lutheran in her adult years. She led many people to Christ and strengthen the faith of others.
