Nancy Fernander, Age 78, of Sevier County, passed away on March 28, 2026. She was born on December 20, 1948 in Miami Beach, Florida to Oliver and Selena Warrick. She attended Miami Beach Senior High School and retired after a career of teaching for the Head Start program. Nancy lived around the world as a career United States Army wife and had strong faith in God and country. She found her greatest pride in raising two wild boys to become men and fathers. Nancy was compassionate, funny, creative, and strongly believed she was fluent in German (but largely was not). For many years she was a member at First Baptist church of Sevierville.
She is survived by her sons, Garrett and Corey Fernander, sister in law, Kay Poole, brother in law, Earl Jeffers, daughter in law, Joanna Fernander, grandchildren Chloe, Kinsey, Asher and Zachary Fernander, nieces Jackie Phillips, Libby Fennewald and Katie Poole and nephews Wes Jeffers, Ryan and Justin Poole. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Harold Fernander, her parents, sister, Bonnie Jeffers, and daughter in law, Katie Fernander.
Nancy wished to be laid to rest with her husband at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held by her loved ones at a later time.
