Michael Wayne “Mike” Loveday

Michael Wayne “Mike” Loveday, age 70, passed away peacefully on April
2, 2025, at his home in Wears Valley, Tennessee. Born on December 27,
1954, in Sevierville, Tennessee, His life began and concluded in the heart
of the Great Smoky Mountains, a place he cherished deeply.
Known throughout the region for his skilled craftsmanship, Mike built a
respected career as a painter and craftsman. His meticulous attention to
detail and pride in his work left a lasting mark on countless homes and
projects across the area.
Mike shared 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Victoria Loveday.
Their enduring bond was a testament to mutual love and unwavering
support through every season of life.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing quiet waters, playing softball
with friends, tending to his lawn with care, and cheering on the UT
Volunteers. These everyday moments reflected Mike’s appreciation for
connection and community.
Faith was the cornerstone of Mike’s life. He spoke to the Lord daily and
drew strength from his beliefs throughout all of life’s challenges. Even
during his battle with ALS, Mike remained anchored in prayer. When he
sensed his journey nearing its end, he asked the Lord to take him
home—and so He did.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita McFalls Newman and
Buford Loveday.
He is survived by his devoted wife Victoria and many cherished family
members and friends who will miss him deeply.
May Michael Wayne Loveday’s memory bring comfort to those who knew
him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with devotion, love, and
quiet strength.
